Picture the scene..
You have just purchased some item from an Internet marketer and downloaded it to your computer. The download page says that this file will need to be unzipped with some kind of software you don’t have installed on your computer, but don’t worry, you can download it for free.
So now you have to install new software just to gain access to the goodies inside the zipped file. But what if you don’t want to install a new software just to unzip this one file? And what if the software is not available for Mac computers?
Personally I am sick of installing new software onto my computer just to unzip a particular filetype. In most cases, I have to boot up my Windows machine, install the unzipping software to that, unzip the file, then move the package contents back to my Mac. Talk about not making it easy!
While most computers these days already have software installed which will unzip .zip files, sometimes the installed software will not unzip the file because it is in an unsupported format such as rar, 7z and many others.
So what is the Solution?

Check out Wobzip. A free unzipping software which you use directly from your web browser.
Use Wobzip to upload your zip file, or point it directly to a URL. After the file has been unzipped, the package contents will be displayed as hyperlinks where you can download each file within the package.
Wobzip will unzip the following filetypes: 7z, ARJ, BZIP2, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DEB, DMG, FAT, GZIP, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, TAR, UDF, VHD, XAR, XZ, Z, ZIP.
Limitations: Wobzip will unzip files no greater than 200 MB in size.
