Free Content Management System

Free Article Publisher

No need to spend hundreds of dollars on a content management system (CMS).

Publish articles easily with this free software and have an instant website that is user interactive.

By user interactive, I mean it allows visitors to interact with your site.

This is popular now and it seems that the sites that interact with their users seem to be more popular than general information sites.

Website Content Management Tool

PHP-Nuke is a 100% FREE content management system. Publish your own articles easily and allow site visitors to reply to articles.

All aspects of the site can be changed via an admin control. This is a good choice if you want a complete solution for zero cost.

You will need to install this software by yourself however. It is not as simple as a regular script. One way I have found to get around this problem is to look for a web hosting company who supplies this software with their web hosting packages.

Here is such a webhost. I now have 3 sites with them.

I did not know that they supply PHP-Nuke until after I signed up with them. At time of writing, it is not mentioned anywhere in the sales pages. You just install PHP-Nuke from the control panel with a click of the mouse.

Slashcode is another FREE content management system. The FAQ page contains the important info.

Slashdot is another site which uses Slashcode. Slashdot is one of the most popular (and my favorite) News For Nerds web sites. The Slashdot RSS Feed is a good way to keep up to date with their freshest headlines.

It has been said that if slashdot.org links to your web site, your site will be in danger of a traffic overload. This is called being Slashdotted.

PHP-Nuke is not the only Free CMS in the Internet. It is just one of quite a few open source content management systems available for Free. The CMS Report is a Free PDF Report which contains a large list of Free CMS. With this report, a webmaster can gain access to resources and build a Blog, Photo Gallery, Discussion Board, Shopping Cart, Auction Site, Portal, and more quickly and easily.

Publishing new articles and other types of content on your website regularly is an effective way to keep visitors comming back. Using a content management system makes this job a simple one.

More information can be found in our content management systems overview which reveals some important factors when considering a CMS.
